Surveying ten productions in dance and theatre this volume presents a comprehensive review of the anxieties and aspirations informing contemporary practices in performing arts. In these essays experimental resurgence of classical forms and critical reframing of established dramaturgy are explored through performances that interrogate the attenuation of bodily sovereignty and how this may be implicated in spaces gestures and axes of power.
